Our Story

Kyidom Rice, a flagship product of Jireh-Aidoo Ltd, is proudly produced, processed, and distributed in Ghana as part of the company’s mission to promote premium-quality, locally grown rice. The name “Kyidom”, meaning “to support” in the Akan language, reflects the brand’s commitment to empowering local farmers, supporting communities, and strengthening Ghana’s agricultural economy.

Founded in 2020 by Sarah Aidoo, Jireh-Aidoo Ltd operates within Ghana’s rice value chain, focusing on enhancing local production, improving food security, and reducing dependence on imports.

Guided by the principles of sustainability, inclusivity, and impact, the enterprise integrates ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) standards across its operations—championing sustainable farming, empowering women in rural communities, and ensuring ethical sourcing. Its work advances SDG 2 (Zero Hunger), SDG 5 (Gender Equality), SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), and SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production).

ESG Principles

Jireh-Aidoo Ltd integrates Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles to ensure long-term value creation and measurable impact:

  • Environmental: Promoting climate-smart and sustainable rice farming practices that reduce waste and enhance soil health.
  • Social: Empowering rural women and youth through training, employment, and fair trade practices.
  • Governance: Ensuring transparency, ethical sourcing, and community-inclusive decision-making.

In essence, the company advances gender equality by ensuring that women are not just participants but key drivers of growth in local food systems.
